Only when you are THIS famous can you actually post stories like this. To combat the some 13,000 BULLS#!T rumours/stories published by the international press about Britney Spears in 2009, her site/management/PRs etc. have banded together to rank the top 75 that they believe were the most ridiculous. This is reputation management at its most transparent. The stories have been chosen, “either because they were factually inaccurate, because they reported the patently absurd, or because [they] believe they are simply offensive to the sensibilities”.

Kudos to her PRs for pulling this list together, there is nothing like using new media as an outlet to combat bullshit rumours and speculation. If only we could do this for ALL of our clients.
